Latent is working on unsolved problems concerning the robust and reliable integration of Medical Intelligence. We're building AI as the backbone of the American healthcare system, shipping products that are already helping hospitals and clinics exponentially increase their workflow output, enabling patients to get meds faster, and significantly boosting revenues.
We're looking for a Founding Product Designer to join our core team and design not just interfaces, but new paradigms for how providers and administrators interact with data, insight, and automation. You will work closely with the broader engineering team and report directly to the two co-founders.
This role is full-time and onsite in our SF office.
Qualifications:
- 6 years of product design experience in B2B SaaS or AI/ML products, especially those involving complex data and workflow tools.
- Possesses demonstrated experience as a 0-1 product designer, focused on designing exceptional products that ship quickly.
- Proven ability to lead full-cycle design, from discovery and research to shipped product.
- Hands-on experience with customer touchpoints: gathering feedback, running sessions, and iterating on real-world use.
- Strong cross-functional instincts—you’ve worked closely with engineering, GTM, and account management to deliver fast, impactful outcomes.
- A strong portfolio showcasing data-rich design work, complex UX problem solving, and clean visual execution with a modern styling.
- Excellent communication and systems thinking—you know how to translate abstract concepts into intuitive workflows.
- Strong proficiency in typography, including type hierarchy, spacing, and readability across responsive interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design process from early ideation and prototyping to detailed design and shipped product.
- Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to gather feedback, validate hypotheses, and iterate quickly.
- Own and evolve our design system, ensuring scalability, consistency, and a modern visual identity across products.
- Collaborate with our founders to define product strategy and roadmap priorities through a design lens.
- Bring a product owner mindset, actively contributing to product direction, prioritization, and identifying new opportunities.
- Make complex technical workflows elegant and intuitive
