What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensing Associate position at Last Energy?
Last Energy seeks a Licensing Associate to support regulatory, licensing, and safety analysis efforts. This role is centered on technical writing and document preparation, with additional responsibilities in supporting analysis and serving as a working-level bridge between the Licensing and Engineering teams.
The Licensing Associate will work closely with internal technical teams and third-party contractors to produce high-quality regulatory documentation and keep licensing workstreams moving.
\n- Assist in the preparation, review, and management of technical documentation submitted to regulators
- Translate technical content from subject-matter experts into clear, precise language for regulatory submissions
- Conduct spreadsheet analysis, including data collection, modeling, and reporting
- Research, track and interpret evolving licensing requirements to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with engineering, legal, and project teams to align licensing activities with broader project goals
- Maintain organized records and documentation systems for licensing and regulatory filings
- Other duties as assigned
- 2 years of experience in technical writing, licensing, regulatory affairs, safety analysis, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a technical discipline
- Familiarity with licensing and regulatory processes in the energy or infrastructure sectors
- Strong analytical skills with exposure to probabilistic safety analysis or quantitative risk assessment preferred
- Excellent organizational and written communication skills
- Disciplined and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Based in Austin, TX (or willing to relocate)
