Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Corporate Staff Accountant located in Peachtree City, GA. The Corporate Staff Accountant will manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes. The role will involve supporting audits, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and collaborating with other departments to improve internal controls. The individual will also participate in special projects and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Qualifications
- Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of auditing processes and familiarity with maintaining compliance with accounting standards
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Manufacturing System (Desktop), E2 ERP system or ERP Systems in general, Microsoft Excel, and financial software tools
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to improve internal controls and processes
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective collaboration and communication abilities to work cross-functionally
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus
- 2 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- A commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
