This position reports to Technical Program Manager and located in Lake Mary, Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience with digital and analog electronics, lasers, laser controls and drives, PC based controls and servos.
- Electronic circuit board design, component selection and verification testing of analog and digital electronics circuits.
- Directly contributes to the design verification and system level integration of analog and digital electronic subsystems.
- Experience with Visual basic, CC, and/or C .
- Experience working with cross-functional teams of optical, mechanical, electrical and software engineers to jointly develop new products in a fast paced environment.
- Develop, review, and stamp electrical design packages including power distribution, grounding, lighting, controls, instrumentation, and motor control systems.
- Writes electrical specifications through completion.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
- Support activities by providing technical guidance, resolving field issues, and reviewing contractor submittals, drawings, and RFIs.
- Coordinates the contract documents between engineering disciplines and architectural details.
- Perform load calculations, arc flash analysis, and short-circuit/coordination studies.
- Work with project managers to prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Performs his or her own drafting/design on SolidWorks.
- Support procurement activities including technical evaluations of vendor packages and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering and Principles of Electricity.
- Experience with Electrical Design and Power Distribution Systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation, as-builts, and project records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- 5 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Experience with electrical design tools.
- Experience with digital and analog electronics, lasers, laser controls and drives, PC based controls, servos, and board design.
- Experience with Visual basic, CC, and/or C .
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
