Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Inside Sales – Defense role based in Lake Mary, FL. The position focuses on identifying and qualifying defense-sector opportunities, managing inbound and outbound sales activities, and nurturing relationships with prospective and existing customers. Day-to-day tasks include lead generation, responding to inquiries, preparing quotes and proposals, and maintaining accurate records in the CRM system. The role collaborates with the sales, marketing, and technical teams to understand customer requirements, present appropriate laser solutions, and support the full sales cycle from initial contact to close. The Inside Sales – Defense professional is expected to consistently follow up with accounts, support customer satisfaction initiatives, and contribute to revenue growth in defense and related industries.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Inside Sales skills, including experience with phone- and email-based selling and managing a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Candidates should possess Lead Generation skills, such as prospecting, qualifying new opportunities, and using CRM tools to track and develop accounts.
  • Candidates should possess Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service skills, including responsiveness, follow-through, and a customer-focused approach to resolving issues.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear presentations, proposals, and collaboration with internal teams and customers.
  • Experience selling into defense, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to understand technical product information and convey value propositions to non-technical and technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with common business software and CRM platforms; familiarity with Salesforce or similar systems is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities, and meet or exceed sales targets.
