Job Summary
We are looking for a talented individual with both systems & network administration experience to join our technical team. This role involves hands-on management, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of client IT systems and networks in a managed services environment. The successful candidate will bring solid experience in both systems administration and network operations, with a focus on reliability and security. Prior MSP experience is preferred but not required. We value strong technical skills and a client-service mindset above all.
Key Responsibilities
· Implement, maintain, and support client servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.
· Configure and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and wireless.
· Perform system updates, patching, backups, and restores while ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
· Monitor systems and networks using standard tools and respond to alerts proactively.
· Balance reactive ticket-based support with proactive system and network maintenance.
· Experience managing backups and disaster recovery solutions.
· Experience with patch management systems.
· Experience with Linux and/or macOS administration.
· Familiarity with MSP tools Provide escalated support for support tickets, working closely with the support team and directly with clients to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
· Assist with security tasks such as endpoint protection management, vulnerability scanning, and implementation of security best practices.
· Support client onboarding projects, including infrastructure documentation, migrations, and initial configuration of managed services.
· Support a diverse set of client environments typical of an MSP/MSSP.
· Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.
· Document procedures, configurations, and client environments accurately.
Requirements and Qualifications
· 3 – 5 years of hands-on experience in systems administration and network administration.
· Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, macOS, and Linux administration.
· Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi) and experience with equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Ubiquiti, or Fortinet.
· Familiarity with common security tools and concepts (firewalls, antivirus/EDR, multifactor authentication).
· Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CompTIA Network , Security , Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CCNA).
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues methodically.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
· Preferred: Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment supporting multiple clients and working with RMM/PSA tools.
