In this role, you will assist in bringing new food concepts to life by supporting experiments, scaling formulas, maintaining lab quality standards, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations. You’ll work alongside an experienced team of food scientists and product developers in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support research and development projects through formula preparation, scaling, and product testing, including sensory evaluations.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and preparing for lab work to ensure projects remain on track.
- Maintain organized records of formulations, test results, and observations in accordance with established procedures.
- Oversee lab inventory, cleanliness, and sample shipments to maintain an efficient work environment.
- Conduct routine quality checks and assist with analytical testing to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with scientists and developers to execute experiments, collect data, and provide operational support.
- Contribute to process improvements and lab efficiency initiatives as the team grows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with basic lab techniques, measurements, and equipment operation.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Enthusiasm for learning and growing within a fast-paced product development environment.
- Education: Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Biology.
- Experience: Internship or hands-on work in a food, manufacturing, or laboratory setting.
- Mindset: Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive approach to teamwork and problem-solving.
