What You’ll Do
- Serve as a front-line HR contact via phone, email, and a case management system, delivering high-touch customer service and meeting service levels.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR, payroll, and benefits processes, including first-contact support and coaching on self-service tools.
- Process HR transactions and updates in the HRIS (Workday), including new hires, terminations, LOAs, promotions, pay changes, direct deposits, deductions, and benefit enrollments.
- Support administration of benefit plans such as medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, wellness, and other programs.
- Maintain data integrity and confidentiality of employee records; document inquiries thoroughly and escalate when needed (including warm transfers).
- Identify trends, recommend improvements, and partner with the team to drive consistency and process enhancements.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience (HR/payroll/benefits exposure is strongly preferred).
- Customer service experience; call center or HR shared services experience is a plus.
- HRIS exposure (Workday, PeopleSoft, or similar); ability to learn systems quickly.
- Strong written/verbal communication and a professional, empathetic phone presence.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and comfort juggling multiple requests with interruptions.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus (not required).
- Compensation: $20–$25/hour
