HR Director

LaSalle Network is partnering with our client to hire an HR Director in Deerfield, MA. Our client is seeking a hands-on, strategic HR Director who can be highly visible in a manufacturing/production environment, build credibility quickly with an established workforce, and help professionalize and stabilize the HR function.

This HR Director opportunity is exciting for someone who enjoys owning employee relations, partnering closely with senior operations leadership, and driving meaningful change in a private-equity-backed setting. This is a Contract-to-Hire role in an on-site work environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior HR leader for the manufacturing facility and provide day-to-day HR leadership and support.
• Partner closely with senior operations leadership and site leadership on people strategy and workforce priorities.
• Be highly visible and present on the manufacturing floor to build trust and strengthen employee engagement.
• Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Address retention and turnover challenges by identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• Improve onboarding, training, communication, and HR processes to support a stable, high-performing culture.
• Coach leaders and influence senior management when changes are needed, including challenging decisions when appropriate.
• Use HR metrics and analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure employment law and policy compliance while aligning site practices to broader organizational expectations.
  
  

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally with Director-level leadership responsibility.
• HR experience in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or facility environment.
• Experience supporting a blue-collar/hourly production workforce.
• Demonstrated strength in employee relations, including investigations and conflict resolution.
• Ability to communicate effectively and influence across hourly employees through executive stakeholders.
• Experience identifying problems, making recommendations, and executing solutions with limited hand-holding.
• Experience with Dayforce preferred
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
