Smoke Shop Cashier

Position Summary

The Smoke Shop Cashier is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while accurately and efficiently processing all sales transactions. This role supports the retail operations at the Las Vegas Paiute Smoke Shop located at 11527 Nu-Wav Kaiv Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89124 (Snow Mountain). The Cashier helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment and must strictly adhere to all age-restricted sales laws and Tribal policies. This position plays a key role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously; provide friendly and efficient service.
• Operate POS system to process sales, handle cash, credit, and mobile transactions accurately.
• Verify customer identification for tobacco, vape, and other age-restricted products in compliance with tribal, state, and federal laws.
• Restock shelves, maintain product displays, and monitor inventory levels.
• Keep checkout area, counters, and merchandise clean and organized.
• Report any issues such as price discrepancies, equipment problems, or suspicious activity to management.
• Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and cash-handling procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties including counting drawers, securing cash, and completing end-of-day reports.
• Support team members in maintaining overall store appearance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of retail or cashier experience (convenience store or smoke shop experience preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math and cash-handling accuracy required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 21 years of age (per tobacco/vape product regulations).
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift or move up to 25 lbs. as needed.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and handling of products.
