Lead Financial Operations for a Growing, High-Performing Dealer Group

Larson Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to oversee accounting operations across multiple dealerships within our organization. This is a strategic, high-visibility leadership role for a professional who brings both technical excellence and strong interpersonal skills to a fast-paced retail automotive environment.

Important: Applicants must have previous experience as an Automotive Accounting Manager or Controller in a retail automotive dealership. Multi-store experience is strongly preferred. This requirement is non-negotiable.

What You'll Do

• Oversee full accounting and financial operations for multiple rooftops
• Deliver accurate, on-time monthly financial statements
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making
• Manage reconciliations, schedules, cash flow, and contracts in transit
• Ensure compliance with OEM standards, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 20 accounting professionals
• Partner with department leadership to align financial goals with operational performance
• Maintain strong relationships with OEM partners, lenders, and external stakeholders

What You Bring

• Required: Prior experience as an Automotive Controller or Accounting Manager at a retail dealership
• Multi-rooftop accounting leadership experience (highly preferred)
• Deep knowledge of dealership accounting, financial statements, and manufacturer reporting
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of developing high-performing teams
• Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
• High attention to detail, strong analytical competency, and a hands-on management style
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS experience preferred)

  Prior experience in retail automotive dealership accounting management is required.
