The Associate General Counsel is an entry-level, growth-oriented opportunity designed for recent law school graduates looking to launch their careers in litigation and in-house legal practice, along with junior candidates looking to transition from a firm into in-house. This role offers hands-on exposure to front-line litigation and the opportunity to work closely with an experienced legal team on a wide range of matters. You will be involved in every stage of the litigation process, with a primary focus on landlord-tenant issues and legal compliance. The role provides strong mentorship and the chance to develop into a more senior legal position over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Support landlord-tenant matters and assist operational teams with legal compliance
- Participate in all phases of litigation, including tort, contract, and commercial disputes
- Conduct legal research on state laws, regulations, and employment practices
- Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, settlement agreements, and correspondence
- Assist in preparing for negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court hearing
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and outside counsel on case strategy development
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
- 0-4 years of litigation experience (entry-level candidates welcome)
- Interest in litigation and commercial real estate or landlord-tenant law
Salary : $85,000 - $115,000
