What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospitality Property Maintenance - Staybridge Suites position at Larson Companies?
Summary
We’re looking for a part-time candidate to join our Maintenance Department; shifts will vary and will include evening and weekend shifts. We currently offer a $3 Weekend Shift Differential to all of our employees. Additionally, we have flexible scheduling, PTO available for employees that work at least 25 hrs per week, and world-wide employee travel discounts!
Our maintenance workers are responsible for maintaining the property grounds and public areas in a manner which will ensure guests a clean, attractive and secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Complete regular maintenance tasks, including cleaning parking lots, walkways, stairways, elevators, lobbies, public restrooms, pool areas, and storage rooms; wash windows, replace light bulbs, empty trash, collect dirty linens, and stock storage rooms.
- Travel to pick up parts between locations as needed.
- Must be able to work independently and stay focused without supervision.
- Ensure property safety and security by following key control procedures, maintaining clean and organized work areas, reporting suspicious activity, and adhering to safety and security regulations.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, such as fixing plumbing issues, assisting with projects, changing A/C filters, and training other employees.
- Handle general yard work, touch-up painting, and repairs to refrigeration units (e.g., coolers, freezers, ice machines).
- Address HVAC malfunctions, adjust units, and perform system checks.
- Inspect electrical appliances and circuits, reporting needed replacements.
- Conduct in-house repairs, including replacing bathroom tile, painting, and carpentry work.
- Use basic hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
- May occasionally be involved with pool equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Maintain a valid driver’s license
- General knowledge of basic tools utilized in building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry; custodial equipment; lawn care; proper safety techniques and procedures.
- This is largely a physical role; however, some sitting is required. Must have the ability to frequently grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, turn and lift an average of 35-50 pounds.
