Roles and responsibilities:
- Independent Project Management and leadership in planning and execution of full vehicle and subsystems models for programs to process time and consumer requirements
- Collaborate with Virtual Design Development Validation (VDDV )consumer base and develop robust statement of requirements ( SoR ) for each modelling event
- Interact, proactively engage, effectively communicate and co-ordinate with Vehicle Performance Integration Manager/Design Release Engineer/Design Engineer/Suppliers/ Performance/Program teams to develop and refine plans for model builds while continuously assessing and mitigating risk.
- Lead and leverage globally distributed team for model builds.
- Perform risk assessment, monitor progress and enable first time quality and ontime delivery of models
- Actively participate and contribute to department process, speed and quality improvement meetings
- Lead conducting robust root cause and preventive action summary on quality improvement opportunities on full vehicle safety, body, trim structure( nvh) and flex models.
- Identify & Lead efficiency and effectiveness improvement opportunities for master models builds
- Actively apply process integration principles on day to day activities and propose improvements
- Perform full Virtual Vehicle assembly, integration and quality checks on models
- Stay abreast with new modelling technology and apply on the projects being executed
- Provide technical leadership and lead road to lab to math projects in alignment with Technology Roadmaps & Vision for modelling enterprise
- Additional Description- Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 8 years of relevant experience in CAE / Design core / Validation or Design Release/Performance.
- 4 years of hands on experience and demonstrated ability in creating full Vehicle Safety/Trimmed Structure/Complex vehicle subsystem CAE models and analysis/synthesis of vehicle CAE loadcases per standard work.
- Knowledge of vehicle development process and cross functional interfaces
- Demonstrated skills in disciplined problem solving and data analysis.
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) theory and application
- Experienced with Computer aided software tools ( CAE / CAD ) , example: ANSA, HYPERMESH, LS-DYNA, Optistruct/NASTRAN, ABAQUS, Primer, Siemens NX/Catia
- Attention to detail and experience in working collaboratively with cross functional teams
- Demonstrated skills in disciplined problem solving and data analysis.
- Strong oral & written communication skills to work effectively with business partners to meet program quality and timing while presenting program model status to all stakeholders.
- What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Skills):
- Process automation skills in developing CAE tools preferably leveraging python
- Demonstrated ability to lead Technology intensive / RLM projects
- Experience with CAD software tools: NX, Teamcenter.
- DFSS black belt or similar certification.
- IT savviness with computer aided process and tools (CAE /CAD/MS Office/Data Analytics/Python) to brainstorm and arrive at the most efficient and effective path
- Ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary and remote/offshore distributed teams
- Attention to detail and experience in working collaboratively with cross functional teams
- Demonstrated skills in disciplined problem solving and data analysis
- Masters qualification in Engineering .
Salary : $95,000
