Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Schedule appointments efficiently using EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
- Verify insurance coverage, process payments
- Maintain accurate medical records by reviewing documentation, updating patient files, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; assist patients with inquiries and appointment rescheduling
- Manage patient intake processes, including collecting demographic information and updating health histories
- Support clinical staff by coordinating care plans, reviewing documentation, and assisting with administrative tasks such as filing and data entry
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a medical office setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Advance MD
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and record management
- Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
- Experience working in medical clinics
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
