Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to play a key role in supporting and enhancing our cost accounting function across multiple manufacturing sites. This position will focus heavily on standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost analysis, while also supporting the integration of newly acquired entities.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in manufacturing cost accounting and hands-on expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), along with a proactive mindset for process improvement and system optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update standard cost structures, including materials, labor, and overhead
- Analyze and report on manufacturing variances (PPV, labor, overhead, yield), providing actionable insights to operations and leadership
- Support month-end close processes related to inventory, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing accounting
- Partner closely with operations, supply chain, and engineering to understand cost drivers and improve product costing accuracy
- Assist with inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and strong internal controls
- Lead or support cost accounting integration efforts for newly acquired businesses, including aligning costing methodologies and processes
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within D365 to enhance reporting and operational efficiency
- Support budgeting and forecasting related to manufacturing costs and inventory
- Assist with audit support, including inventory and cost-related testing and documentation
- Develop and maintain cost reporting dashboards and KPIs to support decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting
- Strong experience with standard costing and variance analysis
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) required
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly related to inventory and cost accounting
- Experience working in a multi-entity or acquisition-driven environment preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
