You are a dependable, service-minded maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems and helping others. You're comfortable handling a wide variety of maintenance tasks and take pride in keeping buildings safe, functional, and looking their best. You enjoy interacting with residents, working independently, and being the go-to maintenance technician for your assigned area.

A Day in the Life:

• Serve as the primary Maintenance Technician supporting our Assisted Living community

• Respond promptly to resident and staff maintenance requests with professionalism and courtesy

• Perform general repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, doors, locks, and building systems

• Complete preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and building systems operate safely and efficiently

• Assist with apartment turnovers, renovations, fixture replacements, and resident move-ins

• Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly care for tools and equipment

• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed

• Participate in the department's on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies

• Support campus projects and assist fellow maintenance team members as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Valid Kansas driver's license required

• Minimum three (3) years of general building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related trade experience preferred

• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and general building repairs

• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work independently while collaborating with the maintenance team
