Skilled Carpenter / Carpenter Apprentice – Residential Construction
Larkin Designs is a growing residential construction company based in Southern New Hampshire, and we're looking for a skilled carpenter or experienced carpenter apprentice to join our team.
We're looking for someone who already has hands-on experience in residential construction and carpentry and is ready to continue developing their skills. The right candidate will take pride in their work, pay attention to detail, show up reliably, and be interested in growing with a local company.
What You'll Do
- Perform a variety of residential carpentry and construction tasks
- Assist with and perform framing, trim work, remodeling, and general carpentry
- Read and work from measurements, plans, and instructions
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Assist with material layout, preparation, and installation
- Work alongside experienced carpenters and other tradespeople
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe job site
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Help with demolition, site preparation, and other construction tasks as needed
- Take on increasing responsibility as your skills and experience develop
What We're Looking For
- Previous residential construction or carpentry experience
- Experience with common hand and power tools
- Basic understanding of residential construction methods
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install materials
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the day
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
