What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Representative (Full-Time) position at Larkin Community Hospital?
Requirements:
- High School Graduation or Equivalent.
- Basic Computer Technology and Applications.
- Ability to type at least thirty-five (35) words per minute.
Responsibilities:
- Performs registration and pre-registration functions for in-patients, out-patients, and emergency department patients to ensure the integrity of the financial data gathered, customer satisfaction and to support quality patient care.
- Collects monies due, verifies insurance and performs financial screening to support positive collections and optimal reimbursements.
- Cross-trains as required for other patient access areas.
- Enhances the hospitals public image by direct efforts towards increasing patient satisfaction.
- Responsible for duties in support of department efficiencies which may include: but not limited to obtaining and verifying authorizations, performing scheduling, registration, medical necessity, point of service collections and any other duties as directed by management.
Work Schedule:
- Full-Time, Monday – Friday , Day Shift, Weekends Required as needed
