Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
- Helping lead maintenance shop, parts, and fueling operations to keep vehicles and equipment safe, reliable, and ready for daily use.
- Building strong working relationships with departments to improve communication, service, and responsiveness.
- Supporting managers and employees through guidance, coaching, training, and clear performance expectations.
- Ensuring preventive maintenance, repairs, warranty work, and recalls are completed effectively and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Coordinating parts purchasing, inventory, and distribution to meet operational needs while maintaining cost awareness.
- Supporting fuel site operations, vendor partnerships, compliance requirements, reporting, and alternative fuel initiatives.
- Assisting with operating and capital budgets, monitoring spending, and identifying opportunities for efficiency and savings.
- Reviewing data and performance metrics to identify concerns, improve processes, and strengthen service delivery.
- Working with internal departments, vendors, and outside agencies to resolve issues and support day-to-day fleet operations.

- Five (5) years of experience in public personnel management, a directly related field, or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience required.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
