Job Summary (VMware Administrator)
- Administer and manage VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments for enterprise-scale private cloud infrastructure.
- Build and manage VMware hosts, clusters, and optimize resource allocation.
- Configure and maintain vMotion, Storage vMotion, HA, and DRS.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and health of virtualized environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across compute, storage, and networking layers.
- Perform patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of VMware infrastructure.
- Support disaster recovery, including SRM, replication, and backups.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure high availability and efficient operation of virtualized resources.
- Maintain documentation and follow best practices for VMware environment management.
- Proven hands-on experience as a VMware Administrator (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter 6.x/7.x/8.x).
- Experience managing private cloud/data center environments.
- Proficient in cluster management, HA, and DRS configuration.
- Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage and virtualization networking.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in complex, enterprise environments.
- Experience with VMware NSX, vRealize, or automation using PowerCLI/scripting.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- VMware certifications (VCP preferred).
