Role Overview

  • Serve as a Senior Technical Deployment Manager within the Environment Management.
  • Oversee deployment, validation, and troubleshooting of application releases and environment enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal/external IT teams, vendors, and partners for environment planning and delivery.
  • Lead automation, standardization, and process improvement initiatives for environment management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage deployment and validation of software releases and system enhancements in production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve environment-related issues in development and test environments.
  • Coordinate with IT, vendors, trading partners, and consultants on environment setup and planning.
  • Oversee demand planning and ensure timely delivery of new/reconfigured environments (code, database, security, platform).
  • Lead automation and standardization to improve environment delivery processes.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, user story development).
  • Lead and triage technical troubleshooting sessions across teams and components.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support for development, testing, training, and production environments.
  • Create and maintain complex environment usage and CI/CD progress reports.
  • Mentor and guide team members, support Agile practices, and facilitate impediment resolution.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP, ATDD, TDD, CI/CD).
  • Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) with executives, managers, technical, and business teams.
  • Advanced planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with tools: Jira, Rally, VersionOne, MS Project, Visio, and Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Understanding of software development processes and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 years managing large enterprise software development projects.
  • 5 years hands-on Agile/Scrum experience in enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of PMLC/SDLC.
  • Experience leading multifunctional project teams.

Additional Requirements

  • 8 years: Issue analysis/resolution, end-user support/training, hands-on CI/CD experience.
  • 3 years (preferred): Experience on large Agile development projects.
  • Preferred certifications: PMI–Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), PMI–Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience with monitoring/APM tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace) preferred.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid role based in Austin, Texas (local candidates only).
  • Minimal supervision with considerable latitude for independent judgment.
  • May require criminal background check.
