Job Summary (Sr. QuickBase Application Developer)
- Design, develop, deliver, and enhance client-server, web-based, cloud-based, and mobile software applications using QuickBase Rapid Development Application platform.
- Support and maintain the YSD Truancy Application, including troubleshooting, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Implement and manage business-aligned IT services, ensuring high-quality, defect-free application platforms that meet industry standards for development, testing, and deployment.
- Provide mentorship, technical advice, and strategic guidance to a team of application, reports, and query developers.
- Ensure programming standards and secure, defect-free applications across all development projects.
- Interact daily with government clients to understand and meet technical requirements for new initiatives.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance/Quality Control teams to maintain application security and quality.
- Define, document, and implement processes and programming standards for the development team.
- Plan, research, and recommend new software tools, equipment, and related technologies.
- Use monitoring and performance analysis tools to troubleshoot and resolve application performance issues.
- Update and maintain system/process documentation, user guides, ER diagrams, SOPs, and network design diagrams (including Visio).
- Work closely with DHS ASD and partner agencies to ensure agency priorities are met.
- Take initiative and demonstrate critical thinking to resolve platform-related problems and challenges.
- Other duties as assigned by the ASD Team and OIS/ASD Division leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 15 years’ experience in design and development of web-based and mobile applications, especially with QuickBase and related technologies (e.g., Java, XML, HTML, JavaScript, BPEL, PHP, WebLogic, .NET/ASP/C#, SQL).
