Job Summary - ServiceNow Event Management Integration Specialist (Durham, NC)
- Implement and configure ServiceNow Event Management integration with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
- Set up MID Server and Event Connector for secure event communication between SCOM and ServiceNow.
- Define and implement event rules, alert correlation, and deduplication logic within ServiceNow.
- Map SCOM alerts to appropriate Configuration Item (CI) classes in the ServiceNow CMDB for impact analysis.
- Design and maintain operational dashboards and event filters for real-time monitoring.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and monitoring teams to validate event flow and resolve integration issues.
- Document integration procedures, workflows, and best practices for ongoing support.
- Utilize hands-on experience with ServiceNow Event Management and IntegrationHub.
- Leverage strong knowledge of SCOM architecture, alerting mechanisms, and MID Server configuration.
- Design event correlation rules and remediation workflows for improved incident response.
- Apply understanding of CMDB relationships and service impact analysis.
- Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Event Management, ITIL Foundation knowledge, experience with other monitoring tools and ServiceNow ITOM Suite (Discovery, Service Mapping).
Salary : $60 - $65
