Job Summary – Project Manager – Security & Compliance (Cloud Transformation Vertical)
- Role Focus:
- Core Responsibilities:
- Manage and drive execution of project schedules, trackers, RAID logs, and daily deliverables.
- Coordinate across multiple technical and functional teams (security, IAM, SOC, networking, engineering, governance, architecture).
- Identify and resolve project gaps, risks, and blockers by asking informed questions and following through to completion.
- Ensure governance controls, security requirements, and compliance standards are consistently implemented across all cloud environments and migrations.
- Run efficient, focused meetings with clear outcomes; document and drive action items.
- Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven hands-on IT Project Manager in complex, enterprise environments.
- Experience with cloud transformation/migration projects (preferably AWS, Azure, or multi-cloud).
- Working knowledge of security/compliance (IAM, authentication, governance, SOC) – not expected to be a security engineer, but able to understand and discuss the topics.
- Exceptional organizational discipline; able to juggle multiple workstreams with tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, able to interact with technical teams and executives.
- Proactive risk/issue identification and escalation.
- Soft Skills:
- Clear, concise communicator – able to keep meetings and discussions on track.
- Highly organized, prepared, and able to convert complex discussions into actionable plans.
- Confident meeting facilitator; blends technical understanding with project management rigor.
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, and executes with minimal supervision.
- First 90 Days Expectations:
- Build strong relationships with technical, compliance, and leadership stakeholders.
- Quickly learn the current cloud environments, governance, and tools.
- Refine project schedules and reporting; identify process gaps and drive team alignment.
- Begin executing and unblocking key workstreams immediately.
- Additional Details:
- Location: Beltway Office (Houston, TX) with 2–3 days/week onsite
- High-visibility project with tight timelines; dedicated focus required.
- No bachelor’s degree required.
