Job Summary CADWorx Piping Designer
- Hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in a Jacobs office (within 50 miles commuting distance).
- Requires Associate s degree in Design Technology or related field (or 2 years equivalent experience).
- 10 years of piping design experience in industrial sectors (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductors).
- Minimum 3 years of recent hands-on CADWorx experience for piping design and modeling.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Strong knowledge of piping specifications, materials, equipment interfaces, and layout fundamentals.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing own design tasks.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Highly organized, with attention to model and drawing accuracy.
- Preferred: Bachelor s degree in Engineering Technology or related field.
- Preferred: Experience in semiconductor facility projects.
- Preferred: Knowledge of pipe stress considerations affecting routing and support design.
- Preferred: Familiarity with QA/QC workflows, model health reviews, and specification-driven design.
- Preferred: Advanced CADWorx skills, including specification management and troubleshooting.
- Preferred: Leadership experience in piping design teams, ensuring model and deliverable quality.
