Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dining areas, including sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and trash disposal
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as basic plating, garnishing, and portioning under supervision
- Support banquet and catering setups by arranging tables, linens, utensils, and serving stations
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Help with bussing tables during service to ensure a smooth flow of guests’ dining experience
- Assist kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks when needed to support busy service periods
- Follow proper cleaning protocols for kitchen equipment and utensils to uphold sanitation standards
Skills
- Experience in food service or hospitality environments preferred; restaurant or hotel experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling safety procedures and sanitation practices
- Ability to perform light cooking and food preparation tasks efficiently
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness and order in busy settings
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary staff and servers
- Familiarity with catering setups and banquet service is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving supplies
