What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEMPORARY SUMMER GROUNDS - 12-18 POSITIONS position at Laramie County School District #1?
- Performs a variety of landscaping activities (e.g. mowing, planting, spraying weeds, fertilizing, raking leaves, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining school grounds.
- Plants, transplants, trims and/or removes trees for the purpose of maintaining district grounds in a safe and attractive manner.
- Cleans gutters, culverts, and other drainage structures for the purpose of preventing damage and/or limiting liability exposure
- Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: using power and hand tools, etc.; adhering to safety practices; handling hazardous materials; and planning and managing projects.
- Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined and similar processes; and operate equipment using a variety of standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with specific, job-related data; and utilize a variety of job-related equipment.

Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 20% sitting, 40% walking, and 40% standing. The job is performed under temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
