Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation to uphold high cleanliness standards.
• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Handle laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items.
• Maintain floor care through sweeping, scrubbing, carpet cleaning, and floor polishing to keep surfaces pristine.
• Manage manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or equipment with safety precautions in mind.
• Use janitorial tools and cleaning equipment effectively for routine maintenance and deep cleaning projects.
• Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific needs and provide excellent customer service while respecting privacy and confidentiality.
• Ensure outdoor work areas are kept tidy when applicable, including outdoor furniture or entryway spaces.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines related to custodial work, sanitation practices, and equipment use to prevent accidents or contamination.
• Manage time efficiently to complete tasks within designated schedules while maintaining quality standards.

Experience

• Previous experience in residential housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning surfaces such as countertops, appliances, windows, and fixtures is essential.
• Hands-on experience with carpet cleaning machines and floor care equipment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cleaning detergents, sanitation procedures, and janitorial best practices is required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration are a plus.
