Role Summary
Full‑cycle ownership of estimating and project delivery: preconstruction pricing and scope, utility/AHJ coordination, schedule control, change‑order management, quality and safety, and financial performance to plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimating: takeoffs, vendor pricing, labor/equipment modeling, scope & exclusions.
- Permitting & Interconnection: AHJ permits and utility submissions; track studies/fees/approvals.
- Project Management: baselines, submittals, crew & equipment scheduling, weekly production reviews.
- Commercial Control: change orders, variance tracking; partner with Controller on job cost.
- Quality & Safety: enforce specs, JSAs, checklists; minimize rework and punchlist.
- Partner & Vendor Relations: day‑to‑day with EPCs and suppliers; maintain schedule and cost alignment.
Outcomes & KPIs
- Weekly: Issue ~ qualified proposals; maintain 3–6‑week look‑ahead.
- Monthly: 30–50% project GPM
- Quarterly: on‑time milestones; change orders documented within 5 business days.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, business or related field preferred.
- 4–8 years in electrical/solar estimating and PM (commercial PV preferred).
- Familiar with NEC PV/interconnection/ESS concepts; utility interconnection workflows.
- Proficiency: Excel, schedule tools (e.g., Smartsheet/Project), QuickBase (or similar).
- Strong scope writing, schedule control.
- Plus: NABCEP (PVA/PVIP/PVTS), OSHA 30, CT E‑license, storage experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $80,000–$100,000 (experience-based).
- Quarterly bonus eligibility begins after your first 90 days.
- When company revenue goals are met, you’ll be eligible for an annual bonus opportunity of approximately $10,000–$50,000, paid out quarterly on top of your base salary.
- Bonus payouts are tied to company performance, which includes gross profit margin (targeting 30–50%) and our revenue goals meeting 1.1m to 1.6m quarterly.

Onboarding Milestones (30/60/90)
- 30 Days: Adopt the QuickBase system and our EPC proposal/project management process, to understand how everything fits together and identify what’s working well and where we can improve. Assist Managing Partner/GM with at least 2 site visits and proposals and assist with at least 2 active projects.
- 60 Days: Own ≥2 active projects; demonstrate change‑order process; achieve ±10% forecast accuracy.
- 90 Days: Manage cradle‑to‑grave on ≥3 jobs; hit monthly GM target; streamline proposal and PM process.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
