What are the responsibilities and job description for the Attendance Systems Manager position at LANPHIER HIGH SCHOOL?
DAYS PER YEAR: 224 (10 months, including 14 paid holidays)
HOURS PER DAY: 8
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required, college degree desirable
- Minimum three years experience working with the public
- Neat appearance, telephone and office etiquette, interest in public schools
- Ability to follow written and oral directions with a minimum of supervision
- Must have a working knowledge and minimum of two years experience with the operation of a microcomputer
- Accurate typing at a minimum of 40 wpm
- Ability to communicate with and assist Systems Managers
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operation of the accurate enrollment and attendance accounting system used at the high school level
- Supervise other clerical personnel assigned to aid in the enrollment and attendance accounting system
- Cooperate with building administrators and the Director of Data Processing in achieving the requirement of accurate attendance accounting
- Produce reports as required by building administrators and the State of Illinois attendance auditors
- Maintain and interpret stored records in conjunction with the State auditors
- Coordinate the computerized attendance programs used in the District
- Follow up on unexcused absences
- Follow the procedure concerning habitual truants as outlined in the School Code of Illinois, including court appearances
- Perform other duties as assigned
