Role: Account Manager - Leasing

Employment Type: Direct Hire/Permanent

Location: Springfield, IL (Onsite 5 days per week)

Salary: $60-70k base Commission

Role Overview

This position is responsible for both sales and operational aspects of the rental product line. The role involves being the front-line contact for prospects, managing a large vehicle fleet, aligning vehicle availability with customer needs, and coordinating all facets of customer accounts. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new customers through methods such as cold calling and telephone solicitation to expand the business.
  • Serve as a tenacious and self-starting sales professional.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers via personal visits and phone communication, including conducting annual reviews.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Service Manager to define appropriate specifications for rental assets for the specific market.
  • Monitor the condition of the rental fleet to ensure all units are free from damage.
  • Ensure customer files contain valid insurance certificates.
  • Manage the fuel tax reporting and driver trip record processes.
  • Hold responsibility for the growth, profit, and positive gross margin of the Rental Department.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of sales experience is required. Experience in commercial fleet management or commercial vehicle leasing is also relevant but not required.

Skills: Candidates must possess a current and valid driver's license with a driving record that meets the company’s insurability guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CRM software is considered a beneficial skill, though training will be provided.
  • A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.
