SUMMARY
Banquet Servers at Lanier Islands are motivated and energetic individuals who provide superior guest service at weddings, meal functions and other large events. In their role, they are responsible for setting up for events, providing outstanding food service, and attending to the special needs of our guests as part of a professional service team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
- Speaks with others using clear and professional language.
- Welcomes and acknowledges all guests according to company standards; anticipates and addresses guests' service needs, assists individuals with disabilities, and thanks guests with genuine appreciation.
- Properly sets up workstation, including tables, chairs, supplies, place settings, side-stations, etc.
- Properly serves wine and alcohol per alcohol training and certification standards.
- Busses tables by removing and separating tableware, plate ware, glassware, and flatware.
- Ensures courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed.
- Responds to and tries to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements.
- Clears and resets tables.
- Properly executes all event formats (reception, buffet, seated dinner, stations, etc.)
- Prepares coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in Banquet Event Order.
- Prepares tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts and cordial carts.
- Replenishes buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.
- Communicates additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Carries out closing procedures and side work.
- Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
- Follows all company and safety and security policies and procedures; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and completes safety training and certifications.
- Performs additional duties as required.
