What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airport Material Handler position at Langham Logistics, Inc?
The Airport Material Handler contributes to meeting Langham Airport Logistics goals of exceptional customer service, quality, process improvement, and profitability by fulfilling requirements of our Airport contract for receiving and delivering goods and materials to Airport concessionaires in a timely manner with no damage.
Airport Material Handlers must be able to work flexible schedules with a high regard for attendance. The department is working 7 days a week (4a-4p M-F, 8a-2p Sat and 8a-1p Sun) and rotating work schedules include weekends and holidays.
Airport Material Handlers must be able to pass Transportation Security Agency (TSA) and Airport background checks.
Key Outcomes Expected
Ensure all goods and materials are received and delivered in the correct quantity to the correct concessionaires in a timely manner and with no damage:
- Receive materials efficiently and accurately record material for inventory control.
- Load materials onto pallets and/or carts with no damage to materials.
- Deliver materials to correct concessionaires in a timely manner, moving material at a pace of 1.75 miles per hour.
- Use the approved, established routes for delivery, requiring understanding of delivery locations and routes within the Terminal.
- Complete all required paperwork/computer input accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform all work in accordance with both Langham and Airport safety and security standards.
Provide a high level of customer service to all concessionaires:
- Project a positive and friendly demeanor to all concessionaires while conducting business in an efficient manner and meeting productivity levels.
- Report all complaints and issues immediately to the Airport Supervisor/Manager for resolution.
- Promote a positive team environment, helping others when and where needed, and treating other employees with respect.

Education and Experience
- H.S. diploma or GED required. Must be able to pass Transportation Security Agency (TSA) and Airport background checks.
- Previous experience in customer service and receiving goods and materials preferred.
- Previous experience with using manual and battery-powered pallet jacks preferred.
Physical Demands: Work will primarily consist of standing while handling materials, then walking and pushing/pulling carts and/or pallets with material handling equipment. Must be able to move at a consistent pace of 1.75 miles per hour while performing duties. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
