OFFICE COORDINATOR
Laney Companies, located in Eldersburg, MD, is seeking an organized and professional Office Coordinator to perform a variety of administrative and operational duties, including a variety of duties including accounting & payroll support, and dispatching.
To be successful as an office coordinator you must be detail-oriented and manage your time efficiently so that office operations run smoothly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage financial tasks, including invoices, collections, accounts payable, and payment processing.
• Prepare driver payroll information for submission to the payroll department.
• Review and approve weekly employee time cards.
• Maintain organized files and records using effective filing systems.
• Track driver expenses, including tolls, fuel, and related costs.
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries as needed.
• Assist with dispatching duties
• Apply basic marketing knowledge when needed
• Monitor office supply inventory and place orders as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of DOT regulations; prior knowledge preferred.
• Work independently while managing priorities and daily responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain productive in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Experience with digital file management systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
SALARY/HOURLY EXEMPTION:
• Full-Time, Exempt Position
• Salary based on knowledge, experience, and education
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
• Sit for prolonged amounts of time
• Walk, bend, kneel, and twist
• Talk and hear
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds on occasion
EDUCATION:
• High school diploma or GED is preferred
