EXCAVATION EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
M.T. Laney Co. Inc. is an established successful construction firm located in Eldersburg, MD.
We are searching for an experienced, committed, career-minded Excavation Operators (Gradall, Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Graders, Rollers, End Dumps) to be part of our growing team to work in the Baltimore/Washington area.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who is highly motivated with a strong work ethic and desires to be part of a skilled construction team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manipulate hand and/or foot controls including pedals, levers, and buttons to regulate speed and direction of assigned equipmentOperate assigned equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and proceduresMove, pick up and grade all types of aggregate material on all types of terrainLoad and unload equipment from vehicles and trailersFollow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirementsRegularly clean equipment to preserve its quality and functionalityEnsure proper operation of equipment by performing regular checks on their functionalityReport needed repairs to appropriate partiesOther duties as assignedESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to understand verbal ordersFine Grade experience preferred Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standardsMust comply with municipality requirements, specifications, safety standards, and company policiesKeen attention to detail and awareness to maintain the safety of the work environmentAbility to work well with others Reliable transportationMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkSALARY/HOURLY EXEMPTION:
Full-Time, Non-Exempt PositionSalary based on knowledge and experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions that can include extreme cold, heat and muddy conditions Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction projectUse of Personal Protection Equipment is requiredWORKING HOURS/EXPECTATIONS:
Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments as requiredPHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

High school or equivalent is preferred LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Driver License preferred
