Duties
- Assist in implementing engaging lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to learning and play
- Provide attentive care during activities such as diapering, feeding, nap time, and outdoor play to meet individual needs
- Foster positive behavior management techniques to encourage cooperation and respect among children
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to monitor developmental milestones and document progress
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings, including toddler care and infant care
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques
- Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations
