Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors and toppings based on customer preferences and current trends
- Manage food production during peak hours, ensuring timely delivery without compromising quality
- Handle food handling tasks including dough preparation, topping distribution, and portion control
- Support the culinary team with food preparation tasks such as braising, poaching, grilling, and other cooking techniques as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant cook, or catering assistant is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures
- Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques
- Experience with high-volume production environments and recipe adherence
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, and food prep tools
- Knowledge of diverse cooking methods such as braising, grilling, poaching, and meal preparation techniques
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on maintaining a clean, organized workspace
