Lane Forest Products is seeking a Forklift operator to move palletized landscaping materials. This position will also handle site clean-up and work in our bagging plant as well as our production yard. You will have the opportunity to learn how to operate heavy equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate Diesel or Propane Forklift (5000 -1000-lbs), loading and unloading trucks, flatbeds and dry vans off pavement, gravel and portable ramps.
- Move palatized material around facility for storage
- Work with truck drivers to maintain max weight capacities for full loads.
- Complete accurate paperwork for inbound and out bound loads.
- Maintains the cleanliness and order of the site
- Assist Production Operators as needed
- Move/repair irrigation pipe, clean catch basins, and water compost
- Firewood processing to include cutting and splitting, by hand or with equipment
- Take temperatures and keep a log of all compost rows as required
- Bag products/compost
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years Forklift Experience
- Positive attitude
- Ability to lift fifty pounds frequently throughout the day
- Will consistently arrive on time
- Willing to work hard outdoors
- Will follow all safety rules
