Order Fulfillment Team Lead Job Description
Reports to: Order Fulfillment Supervisor
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Position Summary:
The Order Fulfillment Team Lead is responsible for ensuring outbound customer orders are filled accurately and efficiently to meet operational cut-offs and customer expectations, under the direction of the Outbound Shift Supervisor/Manager. This role works cross functionally to ensure product is stocked and replenished in a timely and accurate manner.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and communicate the Order Fulfillment daily plan including daily goals and job assignments.
- Work cross-functionally with departments to allocate and balance staff to ensure proper task prioritization.
- Provide mentoring and coordinate training of new and current employees on proper process/procedures and associated changes.
- Provide feedback to Order Fulfillment Supervisor/Manager on team member performance.
- Identify and assist with operational challenges and resolution associated with order fulfillment tasks.
- Manage Attendance, Safety, Accuracy & Productivity (ASAP) with team and individuals.
- Work in team environment.
- Promote and maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with procedures, policies, training, and regulations.
- Ensure established policies and procedures are followed.
- Participate in continuous improvement project team activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of related experience, 5 years preferred.
- Powered industrial truck (PIT) license (Forklift license) or the ability to obtain a PIT license.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other job-related equipment and software.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to effectively communicate with leadership, managers, leads, and peers.
- Excellent organization skills with superior attention to detail.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Willing to participate in Company designated training.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision/guidance.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to practice safe work habits.
Physical Demands:
This is an office type position and a general warehouse position that requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and use of hands continuously for eight hours. This position requires lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally with assistance lifting/moving up to 100 pounds. This position requires extended amounts of time walking and climbing stairs. This position requires frequent work time beyond an eight-hour shift/40-hour week including shift rotation and weekends. This position requires the operation of basic office equipment.
