Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic located in Inver Grove Heights, MN. The role involves performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of landscaping and construction equipment such as mowers, loaders, trucks, and hydraulic systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, conducting regular inspections, replacing defective components, and ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition. The mechanic will also maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Mechanical repair skills including diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Experience with heavy equipment maintenance, including trucks, loaders, skids and mowers
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for addressing equipment malfunctions
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Physical capability to lift and work in diverse outdoor conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Prior experience in landscaping or construction equipment repair is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in diesel mechanics or related fields are preferred
