Job Description
As a Cashier / Sales associate, you will play a major role in supporting Landscapers Supply’s ability to serve our customers. You will be the face of Landscapers with initial greetings as each customer enter your store.
The ability to help customers with questions or finalizing a purchase with a smile and pleasant shopping experience will be required.
You will represent and promote the sales operation of Landscapers Supply/Ace Hardware in a positive manner that ensures customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet Customers entering or leaving your store with a smile and pleasant personality
- Managing or scanning transactions with customers using cash, credit/debit cards or charge accounts.
- Collecting Payment with the ability to accurately count change back
- Issue Receipts, Refunds, or Charge Tickets
- Engage customers in a friendly, courteous, and respectful manner in person and on the phone.
- Ask customers open ended questions to determine their needs
- Maintain work area, and surrounding areas in a clean and professional manner.
- Report to your Manager any Security and loss prevention issues.
- Verify checks and watch for counterfeit cash.
- Assist customers and answering question about our Products
- Ensure that All customers have a Great shopping experience
- Help customer complete their project
Required Qualifications
- Experience as Retail Cashier or similar role
- Basic PC knowledge, POS knowledge
- Good Math Skills
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills
- Customer satisfaction-oriented
- Knowledge of Paladin POS system
- Basic knowledge of selling Yard Products or Hardscape
Physical Requirements
- Standing for the Majority of your shift
- Some Lifting
