Summary/Objective
The Production Manager oversees and directs the daily maintenance production of the branch. This role ensures that all projects are executed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The Production Manager is responsible for managing crews, coordinating resources, and driving efficiency in all production activities.
Essential Functions
1. Oversee and coordinate all phases of landscape maintenance jobs, ensuring each job is completed on time and meet quality expectations.
2. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, provide on-site support, and enforce quality control standards.
3. Assist with developing daily and weekly schedules for crews, coordinating labor, time approval, materials, and equipment to maximize productivity.
4. Manage job costs by monitoring labor hours, material usage, and equipment allocation, and report variances to the Branch Manager.
5. Address and resolve production challenges, including staffing needs, equipment breakdowns, and unexpected job site issues.
6. Partner with the Shop Manager and Branch Manager to ensure all equipment is maintained and available for use.
7. Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development for foreman’s and crews to build capability and promote career growth.
8. Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and prompt resolution of concerns.
9. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability across all production staff.
10. Work directly with Account Manger to ensure quality of jobs and address additional client requests and concerns.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has direct supervisory responsibility for assigned Field Supervisors, Crew Leaders, and crews.
Work Environment
The Production Manager works in both office and field settings, requiring frequent site visits. Work environments vary by project location and may include exposure to outdoor elements.
Physical Demands
The physical requirements of this role include frequent walking, standing, and handling of materials. The role also requires the ability to use hands and arms for reaching, handling, and operating equipment, as well as regular communication (speaking/hearing).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, with additional hours and days as needed to meet production schedules.
Travel
This position may require periodic travel, including overnight stays, to job sites or branch locations.
Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape construction or maintenance, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
3. Bilingual in Spanish.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
5. Knowledge of CRM software
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Hold an Irrigator’s License or Applicator’s License.
2. Experience in Aspire or a similar industry software.
