Landry & Arcari is hiring for their Salem Showroom Manager position! This is not an opportunity that arises often because L&A has a history and culture that retains employees over the long term. We are looking for an energetic new presence in our Salem showroom - someone that can continue to nurture our existing clientele while prospecting and mining for new business.
Only candidates with experience or connections luxury sales or interior design industries will be considered. The ideal candidate has existing contacts throughout the Northshore of Boston that they can leverage to increase sales. Showroom Manager Job Description
The Showroom Manager is responsible for the general oversight of the showroom’s employees, operations, environment, and culture and works toward ensuring seamless and exceptional customer experiences. The Showroom Manager provides daily project and task direction to employees within the showroom. The Showroom manager also delegates responsibility and authority as necessary to provide for the needs of the showroom.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Showroom Managers duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following details.
Sales Oversight
- Make clients feel welcome and ensure they are having a positive experience.
- Support sales staff by assisting client in their stead.
- Step in to support sales staff with any necessary paperwork or follow-up.
- Manage “up” system within the showroom.
- Provide sales staff with up-to-date reports of on-approvals, sample checkouts, unclosed quotes, and outstanding balances.
- Resolve customer complaints by identifying issues, developing solutions, and making recommendations to owners for improvements. Track and report results.
General Oversight
- Provide daily direction to all employees while prioritizing the ongoing creation of an exceptional and seamless customer experience.
- Actively engage any situation to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Assess and address areas in need of improvement.
- Collaborate with showroom employees to encourage positive attitudes, healthy working relationships, and a family spirit.
- Develop and institute best practices for all positions within the showroom.
Employee Oversight
- Create and manage staff schedule and payroll verification.
- Hold staff accountable for executing tasks laid out in their job descriptions and carry out disciplinary actions as necessary and with documentation.
- Terminate staff who are not meeting expectations and hire new employees by posting ads and conducting interviews.
- Ensure that all employees are fully trained and up to date with current Landry & Arcari policies and procedures.
- Conduct yearly reviews with all employees.
- Conduct Daily and Weekly staff meetings.
Operational Oversight
- Continually work toward the improvement of the showrooms organizational structure, in consideration of the current market, season or events.
- Steward inventory by ensuring that all items have appropriate status within the database and assist with storewide inventory projects.
- Ensure that delivery, installation, and measure appointments are properly scheduled and help to resolve any conflicts.
- Deliver to ownership reports that display key performance metrics.
- Plan, organize and execute promotional events to increase the exposure of Landry & Arcari to wider array of clientele.
Environmental Oversight
- Work alongside of the Sales Consultant Team and the Showroom Assistants to display product in creative, new, and sensible ways.
- Work alongside of the Administrative Assistant to create stability and guard the front desk environment and organization.
- Collaborate with inventory control to create merchandising that features new products and themes that are consistent with Landry & Arcari marketing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace including the front desk, entranceways, bathrooms, and showroom floor.
- Ensure that inventory is correctly labelled and being returned to the proper bins within the showroom (rugs are on correct piles, samples are on correct racks)
Works with and Reports To:
The Showroom Manager works alongside of and directs the Showroom Staff and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and ownership.
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
