What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpet Fabricator position at Landry & Arcari Rugs and Carpeting?
Landry & Arcari's Carpet Fabrication workroom is looking for expereicned fabricators. The right candidate for this position has experience working with industrial sewing machines and heavy textiles. Experience working with carpeting is obviously a plus, but not necessary. The ability to lift over 100 lbs and cut accurately using a straight edge and carpet knife are also critical.
This position is a mix of planning out the work that needs to be done on the computer and then executing it within the workroom, so the right candidate will be confident using software and working with their hands to fabricate the material into a finished product. The ability to safely and accurately cut large pieces of carpet with a knife is a requirement.
An eye for detail is also necessary as our clientele has high expectations that we aim to exceed so ensuring that every rug and carpet that is fabricated meets Landry & Arcari standards is also a must.
Job Requirements
- Ability to safely move over 100lbs of material and cut area rugs using a carpet knife and straight edge.
- Problem solving skills.
- Quality control.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively while maintaining the highest level of quality standards.
- Presence during various ‘black out date’ periods throughout the year as set by the Warehouse manager.
- Strong communication skills.
Works With and Reports To:
The Carpet Fabricator works alongside of the Warehouse Staff, and report to the Warehouse Manager.
