Job Summary

Duties

• Perform thorough carpet and upholstery cleaning using specialized equipment and cleaning agents to remove dirt, stains, and odors.
• Conduct floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to restore the shine and integrity of various flooring surfaces.
• Handle chemical agents safely, adhering to environmental services standards and manufacturer instructions for floor cleaning chemicals.
• Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of furniture or equipment to ensure safety during cleaning procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, steam cleaners, and extractors efficiently to maximize results.
• Apply floor care treatments including waxing, buffing, and refinishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about services performed and addressing any questions or concerns professionally.

Experience

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing techniques is highly desirable.
• Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely and knowledge of environmental services standards is a plus.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of equipment or furniture safely.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward client interactions.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation such as carpet extractors, floor buffers, and steam cleaners is beneficial.
• Prior experience in commercial cleaning or custodial roles will help you excel in this position.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
