Pipe Layer – Underground Utilities
Lando Excavation LLC is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to join our growing team. We specialize in underground utility construction, including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems throughout the Colorado Springs area.

Responsibilities
- Install water, sanitary sewer, and storm drain pipe according to plans and specifications.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, grade stakes, and utility plans.
- Set pipe grade using lasers and other grading equipment.
- Install fittings, valves, hydrants, manholes, and other underground utility components.
- Assist with trench layout, excavation, and backfilling operations.
- Work safely around heavy equipment and assist equipment operators with trench operations.
- Ensure trenches meet OSHA safety requirements.
- Perform daily inspections of materials and installed work to ensure quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Work closely with foremen, operators, and laborers to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of underground utility pipe laying experience preferred.
- Experience installing water, sewer, and storm utilities.
- Ability to read plans and understand elevations and grades.
- Knowledge of OSHA trench safety requirements.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- CDL is a plus but not required.
- Experience operating compact equipment is a plus.
