Role Overview
The Vice President of Solutions and Technical Enablement is responsible for defining and leading Landis Gyr’s end to end technical go to market motion, spanning presales solutioning, technical bid response, solution architecture, and post sales technical delivery. This role ensures that Landis Gyr consistently wins complex utility opportunities and successfully delivers on the technical, operational, and financial promises made during the sales process.
Reporting directly to the Chief Product and Technology Officer, this senior leader is responsible for overseeing the positioning, validation, and implementation readiness of Landis Gyr’s and partners’ products, platforms, services, and integrations in customer ecosystem. The Vice President will lead multiple practice-based teams aligned to product lines and customer segments, including Solutions Consulting, Technical Architecture, Bid and Proposal Engineering, and Technical Consulting.
This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Sales, and Delivery and is critical to scaling Landis Gyr’s AMI 2.0, grid edge intelligence, and multi commodity solutions globally.

Pay is in the range of $197,406 - $271,434 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held. Solutions Strategy and Technical Go To Market Leadership:
- Define and own the global solutions strategy that enables Landis Gyr to win and scale complex utility deployments across electric, gas, water, flexibility and grid edge use cases
- Establish a unified technical go to market operating model across pre sales and post sales teams, ensuring consistency, scalability, and accountability
- Translate product and platform capabilities into clear solution narratives, reference architectures, and value driven technical outcomes for utilities
- Define standard solution patterns, integration frameworks, security models, data flows, and deployment architectures aligned to Landis Gyr’s roadmap
- Lead Solutions Consulting and Technical Architecture teams responsible for discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and technical validation
- Own the technical bid response function, ensuring high quality, timely, and differentiated responses to RFPs and complex procurements
- Partner with Sales leadership to prioritize opportunities, allocate technical resources, and advance deals through structured evaluation milestones
- Serve as executive technical sponsor for strategic or high risk opportunities, engaging directly with utility executives and technical stakeholders
- Lead Technical Consulting teams responsible for complex implementations, integrations, and technical assurance during delivery
- Ensure continuity between pre sales commitments and post sales execution, eliminating gaps between solution design and implementation reality
- Establish governance, standards, and escalation models for complex technical programs
- Partner with Services, Operations, and Customer Success to improve deployment velocity, quality, and customer outcomes
- Act as a critical feedback loop between customers, Sales, and Product Management, ensuring roadmap priorities reflect real market and delivery needs
- Collaborate closely with Engineering to ensure solution architectures are technically sound, secure, and scalable
- Influence platform investments that reduce custom engineering and increase solution reuse
- Ensure GTM teams are trained and enabled on current and future product capabilities
- Represent Landis Gyr as a senior technical leader in executive customer engagements, industry forums, and partner discussions
- Support strategic partnerships by defining joint solution architectures and technical integration models
- Contribute to analyst, investor, and board level narratives related to platform scalability and execution capability
- Lead a multi-layer global organization of managers and senior technical leaders across solution practices
- Build a high performance culture with clear accountability, operating rhythms, and career paths
- Develop future technical leaders with strong commercial, architectural, and customer facing capabilities
- Drive adoption of best practices, reusable assets, and standardized methods across all teams
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
- Advanced degree in engineering, systems, or business preferred
- 15 or more years of experience in utilities, energy, or industrial technology, with senior leadership responsibility in solutions, systems engineering, or technical delivery
- Deep understanding of utility operations, AMI, grid modernization, DER integration, and enterprise system integration
- Proven ability to lead large technical organizations that operate across pre sales and post sales motions
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage credibly with utility C suite leaders, regulators, and internal executives
- Demonstrated success scaling repeatable solution frameworks in complex, regulated environments
