What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at Landis Communities?
Prepares and paints rooms and apartments for current residents and when residents transfer or are discharged. Renovates or touches-up common areas as well as accommodations for new residents.
- Paints mostly interiors, but some exterior work also.
- Patches walls and caulks as needed.
- Scrapes and sands surfaces to prepare for painting.
- Orders and maintains paint supplies and inventory.
- Hangs wall decor.
- Coordinates sub-contractors and works as point of contact for painting projects as needed.
- Responds to emergency alarms.
- Assists with general maintenance tasks as requested.
- Assists with snow removal and other emergencies as needed.
- Demonstrates dependability, competence, accuracy and is observant.
- Adheres to compliance policies regarding confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and resident and client rights.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma/GED or demonstrated proficiency in reading and writing skills required.
- Prior experience in related role preferred.
- Maintains current valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
- Possesses the ability to operate maintenance equipment.
- Able to work independently, well-organized, and can multi-task.
- Demonstrates a pleasant personality with flexibility and adaptability for frequent interruptions.
