Housekeeping Assistant
- Full Time 72 hours bi-weekly
- 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday, 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM Tuesday through Thursday.
- Full Benefits package
- Provide cleaning services including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping floors, washing windows and other duties as assigned.
- Clean Resident Bedrooms and bathrooms as assigned.
- Clean common areas and offices as assigned.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Report any repairs or concerns to the Director of Facilities.
- Complete tasks according to the Quality Assurance checklists and document.
- Read the communication log prior to each shift and communicate within the Housekeeping Department at the end of each shift, as needed.
- Be familiar with and abide by the WMH policies and procedures.
- Participate on the Safety Committee as assigned.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
- Ability to patiently, tactfully and enthusiastically deal with personnel, residents, family members, etc., to all types of situations.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Ability to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
- Ability to learn new methods and willingly incorporate them into existing practices.
- Ability to complete tasks assigned for each shift and document on the daily shift check list.
